Biodiversity and Outreach Program
Welcome to the Biodiversity Outreach Program!
Biodiversity Outreach is a team that provides students with opportunities to communicate science to non-scientific audiences. We attend public events like festivals, activities at nature preserves, and visit unique places such as Safari West. At these events, students get to share their knowledge and love of science with their community. There are also opportunities to be a part of the creative display process, in which students help make new educational material that will be used at events.
In being a member of Bio Outreach, students not only gain invaluable skills in science communication and networking, but also get paid to do it! We are always welcoming new volunteers and members of the team. Interested? Come join us! Contact the Biodiversity Outreach Coordinator, Cameron Olson, at ssubiologyoutreach@gmail.com for more information. Our Social Media Coordinator (Facebook, Instagram) can be reached at the same email address.
