Congratulations to Hua Lab Members Omar Akhtar and Sabrina Piana Cervantes for their recent Summer achievements:
Omar received a $7500 award for his 2026 CSU BIOTECH Faculty-Graduate Student Research Collaboration proposal titled, "Characterization of Interchromosomal Linkages in Human Cells".
Sabrina has received the Sally Casanova Predoctoral Fellowship from the CSU Chancellor's office, one of TWO predoctoral fellows selected at SSU this year, and the first one in the Hua Lab to receive this honor!
