Awards and Scholarship Updates!
Bio students doing the hard work...
BIOL Grad Student Aiyana Singh (Zippay Lab) has won two scholarships: The Sonoma County Fish and Wildlife's Al Gerhardt Memorial Scholarship and the CSU COAST Coale Graduate Scholar Award.
About the Gerhardt award, Aiyana says, "I'm truly grateful to have received the Al Gerhardt Memorial Scholarship from the Sonoma County Fish and Wildlife Commission. As a graduate student, support like this helps lighten the load of everyday expenses and allows me to focus more fully on my studies. I’m incredibly thankful for this generous assistance."
And regarding the Coale Award, "Being selected as a CSU COAST Coale Graduate Scholar is an incredible honor. This award will help support my research on how rising ocean temperatures affect early development in purple sea urchins. I’m so thankful for this opportunity to continue studying the impacts of climate change on marine life."
Congratulations to the following Biology students who will be participating in the MESA Summer Scholars program!
